- Build the sandwich as follows: bread, cheese, ham, cheese,
bread.
- Brush the entire sandwich with the royale, or dip the sandwich
in a shallow dish of royale.
- Heat a large non-stick sauté pan until hot, add 1 tbsp
butter and when bubbling add the sandwich. Cook 2 minutes until
golden brown, flip the sandwich over and add remaining butter
and cook another minute or two.
Royale
Whisk 1 cup light cream with 2 eggs and a generous pinch of salt
and store cold. Will make enough royale for 4 sandwiches.
